Day Five – Sunday, June 22<\/strong><\/p>\n

What the properly attired fan is wearing these days.<\/p><\/div>\n

The BallPark Tours\u2019 crew was clearly fired up for the final day of the Show Me State Ramble<\/em>.\u00a0 The bus was slated to depart for Kansas City\u2019s Kauffman Stadium (from the Holiday Inn Country Club Plaza) at 11:30 a.m. (1:10 p.m. game time), but the hotel lobby began to fill up with individuals in baseball t-shirts, jerseys and hats by 11:00 a.m.<\/p>\n

While we waited to board the bus, we traded stories that focused primarily on the previous evening\u2019s activities \u2013 which took most people to the nearby Country Club Plaza shopping, dining and entertainment district. The 15-block area \u2013 walking distance from the hotel \u2013 featured 150 shops and more than three dozen restaurants \u2013 and provided ample opportunity to enjoy a final \u201cnight on the town.\u201d<\/p>\n

Once at the stadium, we were pleasantly surprised by our loge seats, in the lower second deck overhang along the third base line.\u00a0 A great view, protection from the sun (another hot and steamy day) and a free Royals Baseball Insider<\/em> magazine.\u00a0 And, there were other surprises.<\/p>\n

Tour participants soon discovered and passed on the word that a visit to the Royals Hall of Fame (left field corner) was well worth the time for several reasons:<\/p>\n
